Gloves

When the Ebony Doughboy deployed to France, they also took their gloves with them. Upon arrival, they were instructed to leave their personal baggage, including their cold weather gear such as gloves at the arrival point with the promise that they would be shipped to them later. The shipment never occurred. As a result, our Doughboys were generally without gloves unless they picked them up along the way, purchased them from French merchants or received them from home or the American Red Cross. The gloves below are an issued pair.
